To parallelize your process, the basic module can be adapted directly to your needs via a data cable with up to 5 expansion modules that can be updated at any time.

Flexible module operation options via a central touchpad:

Individual: All units work with different methods

Parallel: All systems, simultaneously, with the same method

Mixed mode: Any number of units run in parallel. Remaining modules individually.

Clean-up columns

YOU HAVE THE OPTION:

Silica/Alox columns made of glass or plastic

Recently, LCTech offers silica and Alox columns with the proven glass body or made from plastic. The two versions are absolutely equivalent and do not differ in their application.

Thanks to sealing cap technology, plastic columns do not require individual alumina packaging. By eliminating the need for protective packaging, waste is significantly reduced and system charging and restarting is significantly faster.

INSERTION COLUMN

Too easy

LCTech systems have a proven electrical fastening system. Time-consuming tightening of the spine is no longer necessary. Furthermore, thanks to the patented mechanical fixation of the column, transportation can be avoided.

LCTech columns: Tested and immediately ready for use

Remove the speakers from the packaging and fit them into the speaker tower in a single movement - "just click it"! No screws, tools or any other manual work steps. Depending on the sample and method chosen, multiple columns can be used in the 3-column system.

EVOLUTION Universal e Alox

With LCTech's new plastic columns, you get excellent results with proven chemistry for dioxin/PCB and POP analysis.

PFAS Analysis: Evidence for Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances

Contamination-free PFAS analysis in water, environmental samples and food with LCTech products.

Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have special properties and are therefore used in many industrial processes and products, such as textiles, household items, firefighting, automotive, food processing, construction and electronics. Chemicals can now be found in the environment (rivers, lakes, soils) and in food (drinking water or other foods). The group of substances comprises more than 4,700 compounds, which also makes it an analytical challenge.

PFAS: health risks

As a result of effects on the immune system (e.g. due to a reduced immune response to vaccines), this group of substances is subject to continuous monitoring by authorities such as the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). The first bans have already been announced.

More information about risk assessment and determining a tolerable intake can be found here:

PFOS and PFOA

Perfluorinated alkyl sulfonates - best known representative: Perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS)

Perfluorinated carboxylic acids - best known representative: Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)

These chemicals have been commonly used for decades due to their physicochemical properties (thermally and chemically stable, water and grease repellent), for example in fire extinguishing foams, in the production/impregnation of outdoor clothing, in ski waxes, in the coating of food packaging, in makeup and lipsticks, etc. - to name just a few areas of application. Therefore, PFAS can be found everywhere: in water, soil, dust, food and, finally, also in human blood.

HIGH YIELD IN PFAS ANALYSIS

FREESTYLE PFAS

FREESTYLE robotic systems are also proven in sample preparation for PFAS and are a valuable support for high throughput. They are blank-free due to the use of PTFE-free materials and are compatible with all commercially available 3 mL or 6 mL columns.

With FREESTYLE robotic systems, samples can be processed according to all currently known standards such as US EPA 1633, US EPA 537.1, US EPA 533 and DIN 38407-42 without deviations.

LCTech FREESTYLE systems are designed for large sample volumes in PFAS analysis and are available in different versions depending on the sample volume. Choose the system that best suits you.

Freestyle SPE PFAS

AUTOMATED DETERMINATION OF PFAS

Complete solution for your PFAS cleanup

It is well known that PFAS can be harmful to health. Short-chain PFAS more easily reach groundwater, while long-chain ones tend to accumulate in the soil and therefore reach food. Due to the growing spectrum of analytes and changing regulatory requirements, sample volumes are constantly increasing. LCTech has solutions that take care of the labor-intensive steps for you while significantly increasing data quality.

No history of PFAS in the system

PE tubes

PTFE-free syringe

Valves are not PTFE

Possibility of Dual-SPE procedure (29 min. per sample)

EURL Freiburg Validation

Recommended in the Guidance Document on Analytical Parameters for the Determination of PFAS in Food and Feed!

FREESTYLE XANA PFAS TableTop

The FREESTYLE XANA PFAS TableTop is well prepared for PFAS-related requirements. Analytical challenges are overcome by replacing all PTFE-containing components with blank-value materials such as PE and PP. This allows processing of method-compliant samples according to US EPA standards (e.g. 537.1, 533, 1633) and DIN 38407-42 without producing blank values.

Large volumes are not absolutely necessary to analyze PFAS in water. As a result, XANA's large bottle holder is not necessary in some cases. By reducing the scale of the bottle holder, it can be easily transferred to the FREESTYLE, saving a lot of space.

STANDARD COMPATIBLE

Sophisticated features

Using a special mechanism, the Falcon tubes are also transferred to the processing station as eluate containers. This allows the elution solvent to be transferred efficiently and in accordance with the standard from the sample vial to the Falcon tube via the SPE column.

FREESTYLE XANA PFAS

Based on the robust and proven FREESTYLE are avoided.

No cross contamination

Customer results in accordance with ISO 21675:2019, which covers 47 PFAS analytes

Reporting limit: ≥ 0.2 ng/L

Cross-contamination with extremely contaminated samples (e.g. 4500 ng/L) only about 0.2%

Duration for 24 samples: 6.5 hours, with an additional customer-specific rinse of approximately 8 hours

Recovery Rates

The results show that reliable and robust PFAS analysis can be performed through fully automated sample preparation on the FREESTYLE XANA PFAS robotic system in combination with EluCLEAN®PFAS SPE cartridges. The recoveries shown are very well within the accepted range of 70 to 130%. Accuracy is also well within the required range, with RSDs of 10% or less.
